Leicester City Council is seeking a skilled Technical Operations Manager to join their team. This role will involve overseeing the management of complex ICT solutions, ensuring systems are fit for purpose and meeting business needs.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing incidents, problems, changes, and releases, as well as providing line management to a team of Support Engineers. They will work closely with all teams, key users, and business contacts, and collaborate with the Application Support Manager.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week in a permanent capacity. The role involves occasional site or office visits, but most work will be done remotely with an office space available if preferred. Occasional work outside core office hours may be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing incidents, problems, changes, and releases
  • Providing line management to Support Engineers
  • Collaborating with all teams, key users, and business contacts
  • Working closely with the Application Support Manager

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have detailed experience supporting complex ICT solutions in a large organization. They must be able to actively work with system owners and users to ensure systems meet business needs. Previous experience in a systems administration role, overseeing system maintenance and management activity, is essential.
