Are you looking to start your career in project engineering? We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Project Engineer to join our Highways team.

This is a full-time, fixed-term position working 37 hours per week. You'll be given the chance to dedicate time per week to off-the-job learning, which will help you achieve your qualification.

As an Apprentice Project Engineer, you'll work with our experienced team to support and mentor you throughout your apprenticeship. You'll gain valuable experience working on highways and civil engineering projects, surveying activities, procurement exercises, and stakeholder engagement.

Day-to-day work could include preparing and setting out works for construction, assisting with planning for highway infrastructure assets, designing highway and transport improvement projects.

In our supportive team, you'll find plenty of opportunities to develop your skills and further your career. You'll also contribute to providing real benefits for Leicester's communities and council staff.

You'll be expected to attend university to complete the Civil Engineering course, which will be funded through the apprenticeship levy. You'll be expected to attend the university one day a week, which is included in your standard weekly hours.
