About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Wetland Conservation Programme Manager to lead our Generation Wild project for schools, children and families in disadvantaged areas. This is a fixed term contract initially for 12 months with potential for extension. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of leading projects that engage diverse audiences with nature and inspiring the next generation of conservationists.

The role involves managing delivery of the project across seven of our UK wetland centres, working closely with learning teams, external contractors, WWT experts, teachers, learners and site-based learning teams. Key responsibilities include evaluating project success to date, using learning from this to shape a new phase of the project, planning, monitoring and evaluating project activities, supporting their implementation across a range of sites and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
