Learning and Support Mentor

We are seeking a Learning and Support Mentor to join our team at Step Teachers. In this role, you will work with students with SEN, providing tailored support to help them overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
To be successful, you must have experience and be qualified to Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop personalized support plans for students with SEN, working closely with classroom teachers to ensure effective implementation.
- Provide one-to-one support to students, focusing on areas such as literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
- Collaborate with teachers to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic and personal growth.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to ongoing assessments to track student progress and inform future interventions.
Requirements:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification - ideally with placements as part of your course.
- Strong understanding of various SEN conditions and strategies to support students effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Estimated salary: £26,000 - £32,000 per annum.
