The Role
We are seeking a seasoned Lead Estimation Specialist to oversee our electrical estimation operations. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with the commercial team to ensure that our quotation processes align with our strategic objectives, fostering sustainable growth and enhancing our brand's reputation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the estimation team by managing workloads and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Identify areas for professional development and knowledge enhancement within the team.
  • Provide effective line management, including conducting one-on-ones and performance reviews in accordance with our people-focused HR policies.
  • Drive performance and cost efficiency by monitoring KPIs, ensuring the team delivers on their core responsibilities with a focus on dynamic processes and results.
  • Manage internal processes related to quotations and data entry within our business systems.
  • Prepare both basic and detailed tenders, including maintenance and sales contracts, while adhering to established guidelines.
  • Oversee the approval process for quotes up to £200,000, determining the quote/no-quote decisions.


Requirements

Successful Candidates Will Have:
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in achieving results through effective leadership and collaboration.
  • Expertise in understanding client requirements, providing quotations, and coordinating with internal departments.
  • Proficiency in utilizing business systems to maintain data integrity and follow company processes.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Valid UK driving license (maximum of 3 points).
  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the electrical distribution sector, both high voltage and low voltage.
  • Experience in tendering for operation and maintenance contracts and private networks.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish strategic and operational partnerships.
  • Experience handling complex and sensitive commercial information with confidentiality.
  • Proven project management and process improvement skills.
