Senior Estimation Lead

Proactive Solutions Group Ltd is seeking a Senior Estimation Lead to oversee the electrical estimation division within our dynamic energy firm.
In this pivotal role, you will act as a primary liaison for the broader commercial team, ensuring that the quotation process aligns with our strategic objectives while fostering growth and enhancing our brand's reputation.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Estimation Lead:
- Lead the estimation team by effectively distributing workloads and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Identify areas for knowledge enhancement and professional growth within the team.
- Provide support through effective line management, including conducting one-on-one meetings and performance reviews in accordance with our people-focused HR policies.
- Drive performance and cost efficiency by monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with company-wide goals, ensuring a high level of focus and delivering results.
- Manage internal processes related to quotations and data entry within business systems.
- Prepare both basic and comprehensive tenders, maintenance contracts, and sales agreements while adhering to established legal guidelines.
- Oversee the approval process for quotes up to £200k prior to client submission and determine the quote/no-quote decisions.
The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in:
- Building robust and collaborative relationships with internal and external clients and suppliers.
- Delivering outcomes through effective leadership and teamwork.
- Understanding client requirements, providing accurate quotations, coordinating with internal departments, and presenting a final project capability overview to clients.
- Utilizing business systems to ensure compliance with company processes and maintain data integrity.
Qualifications Required:
- Full UK driving license (maximum of 3 points).
- Degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Extensive market knowledge and experience in the electrical distribution sector, including both high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) systems.
- Experience in tendering for operations and maintenance contracts as well as private networks.
- Proven ability to establish strategic and operational partnerships.
- Experience managing complex and sensitive business information with confidentiality.
- Demonstrated expertise in project management and process enhancement.
The salary for the Senior Estimation Lead position ranges from £50,000 to £60,000, accompanied by an excellent benefits package.
