Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Hygiene Operative to join our team at Birtwistles Food Group. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout our factory.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about maintaining a clean and safe working environment. You will work closely with our production team to ensure that all areas of the factory are kept clean and tidy, and that all equipment and machinery are properly maintained.

As a Hygiene Operative, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and surfaces, emptying waste bins and recycling, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize all equipment and surfaces to prevent contamination and maintain a clean working environment
  • Empty waste bins and recycling, and ensure that all waste is disposed of correctly
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the storage of cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Assist with the maintenance of equipment and machinery, including the cleaning and lubrication of moving parts
  • Identify and report any potential hazards or areas of concern to management
