Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Specialist to join our team at Birtwistles Food Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout our factory.

With a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration, you will work closely with our production staff to ensure that all areas of the factory are clean, safe, and compliant with industry regulations.

As a Sanitation Specialist, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including:

  • Cleaning and sanitizing equipment, machinery, and facilities
  • Ensuring all waste is disposed of correctly and efficiently
  • Monitoring and maintaining cleaning schedules and records
  • Identifying and reporting any potential hazards or areas for improvement

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Conducting regular cleaning and sanitizing of equipment, machinery, and facilities
  • Ensuring all waste is disposed of correctly and efficiently, including emptying waste bins and bagging rubbish
  • Monitoring and maintaining cleaning schedules and records, including completing cleaning records
  • Identifying and reporting any potential hazards or areas for improvement, including wet floors and spillages

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing procedures and industry regulations
