Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Hygiene Operative to join our team at Birtwistles Food Group. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout our factory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain all factory equipment, machinery, and facilities to ensure a safe and healthy working environment
  • Conduct regular cleaning and sanitizing of high-risk areas, including food preparation and storage areas
  • Empty and dispose of waste and recyclables in a responsible and environmentally friendly manner
  • Participate in the maintenance and upkeep of our factory's cleaning equipment and supplies
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient cleaning schedule
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing procedures and protocols
