About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Research Administration Specialist to join our team at Queen Mary University of London. The successful candidate will provide high-level professional advice and support for the ongoing development and implementation of School research strategies, innovation activities, and impact strategies.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the effective management of administrative services supporting research activities, including liaison with senior faculty members, directors of research, and heads of research groups/centres. They will also lead on the operational support and management of research funding in the School of Biological and Behavioural Sciences, including financial reporting and management of bids and proposals.

As a key member of our team, the Senior Research Administration Specialist will work closely with colleagues in central Professional Services, including the Research Services Directorate, VP Research and Innovation's office, Marketing and Communications. About You

We are looking for a highly skilled individual with excellent analytical, financial management, and communication skills. The successful candidate will have experience in developing knowledge of academic research areas and supporting academic staff to link these to national and international funding opportunities.

They will enjoy working in a dynamic environment and be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. As a key member of our team, they will contribute to the development of research strategies and policies that support the School's mission and goals.
