Resettlement Support Officer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Resettlement Support Officer to join our team at Capita. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting Service Leavers in their transition to civilian life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting insightful and supportive personnel selection and early service leaver interviews to facilitate successful resettlement.
  • Attending one-to-one meetings with leavers and phase 1 recruits to provide guidance and support.
  • Producing, recording, and administering phase 1 recruit documentation to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Signposting personnel for further advice and guidance on learning and training opportunities.
  • Promoting and facilitating access to externally delivered elective learning opportunities, including e-learning courses and materials.
  • Proactively raising awareness of Resettlement amongst Service Leavers to ensure they are aware of the support available and understand how to access it.

Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with Service Leavers and colleagues.
  • Ability to write clear and concise reports to document progress and outcomes.
  • Good IT skills using Microsoft Office and SharePoint to manage documentation and data.
  • Previous experience in a role where you have coached, taught, or supported individuals, preferably in a similar context.
  • Any experience within the Royal Navy or knowledge of the resettlement system would be an advantage.
  • Must be able to obtain UK SC clearance.
