Social Worker Role in Flintshire Council's Children's Team

About the Position

The role involves working as a Qualified Duty Social Worker in our Children's Safeguarding Team, collaborating closely with a team manager and taking responsibility for conducting Section 47 investigations and managing child protection cases.

The ideal candidate will have a DipSW or equivalent qualification, be registered with the HCPC, and possess current DBS clearance, as well as a valid car driver's license.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out thorough investigations into child protection concerns
  • Manage a caseload of complex child protection cases, ensuring timely interventions and effective case planning
  • Represent the local authority in court proceedings, including private law cases and care orders
  • Maintain effective relationships with other professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of children

 

Salary and Benefits
  • A highly competitive hourly pay rate (negotiable based on experience) of £40-45, flexible working hours, and access to a comprehensive online training portal worth £500 per year, free of charge
  • A dedicated consultant with extensive social work knowledge and expertise
  • Opportunity to earn up to £250 for each referred worker (terms apply)

 

Qualifications and Requirements
