About the Job
We are seeking an experienced social worker to join our Children's Safeguarding Team as a Qualified Duty Social Worker. This role involves working closely with a supportive team manager and undertaking various responsibilities, including Section 47 investigations and child protection case management.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience as a UK-based social worker within a children's social work team and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments and investigations into child protection concerns
- Manage a caseload of complex child protection cases
- Represent the local authority in court proceedings, including private law cases and care orders
- Collaborate with other professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of children
Salary and Benefits
- An attractive hourly pay rate of £38-42, negotiable based on experience, with flexible working hours and opportunities for professional growth

- Opportunity to earn up to £250 for each referred worker (terms apply)
Qualifications and Requirements
- DipSW or equivalent qualification
- Registered with the HCPC
- Current DBS clearance
- Valid car driver's license
