The Heart of Newhaven Community is seeking a skilled and reliable Part-time Buildings Maintenance Officer to join our team. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and repairs of our community hub and its buildings.
Key Responsibilities- Facilities Management: Provide efficient and effective caretaking support, including security, upkeep, and general appearance of the buildings and surrounding grounds.
- Event Management: Manage and organize the buildings for day-to-day use, as well as additional one-off and regular hires and events.
- Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
- Part-time (16hrs per week) fixed-term role for 6 months.
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of autonomy.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform out-of-hours cover to open and close the building.
- Annual Salary: £21,255 pro-rata (i.e. £9,068.80 p.a.).
- 5% employer's pension contribution (subject to eligibility criteria).
