About the Role
The Heart of Newhaven Community is seeking a skilled Buildings Maintenance Officer to play a key role in the upkeep, maintenance, and repairs of our community hub and its buildings. This is a part-time, fixed-term position for 6 months, with the potential to evolve into a permanent role once the hub is established.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide efficient and effective caretaking support, including security, upkeep, and general appearance of the buildings and surrounding grounds.
- Manage and organize the buildings for day-to-day use, as well as additional one-off and regular hires and events.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, flexible, and reliable, with a high degree of autonomy. They will be responsible for setting up additional hires and events, liaising with facilities management contractors, and ensuring the hub's spaces, buildings, and grounds are well-maintained.
What We Offer
