Job Title: Temporary School Caretaker

Location: East Sussex

Hours: Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays 7:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Duration: Until the end of October, with potential extension until December

Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Temporary School Caretaker to join our team at a school located in the South East region. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the school premises, creating a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly clean and maintain all areas of the school, including classrooms, offices, corridors, and communal spaces
• Empty and clean bins, dispose of waste appropriately
• Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of bathrooms and toilets
• Check and maintain heating and lighting systems
• Carry out minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed
• Assist with school events and activities as required
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and procedures

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience in a school caretaker or similar role is essential
• A current Portable DBS certificate is highly desirable
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A commitment to providing a high level of service
