About the Role

Main Responsibilities
  • **Maintain a Safe and Supportive Environment**: Ensure the physical and emotional well-being of young people by maintaining a safe and supportive living environment.
  • **Promote Independence and Self-Development**: Encourage young people to develop their interests and skills, and support them in achieving their goals.
  • **Develop Positive Relationships**: Build strong, trusting relationships with young people, and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure their needs are met.
  • **Manage Challenging Behavior**: Use positive behavior management techniques to support young people in managing their behavior and developing self-regulation skills.
  • **Contribute to Care Planning**: Work with colleagues to develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of young people.
Requirements
  • **Experience Working with Vulnerable Young People**: You will have experience of supporting young people who may be vulnerable, and be able to demonstrate your ability to work with this client group.

  • **Ability to Work Independently**: You will be able to work independently, using your initiative to make decisions and take action when necessary.
  • **Computer Literacy**: You will have intermediate-level computer skills, and be able to use software applications to record and report on young people's progress.
  • **Empathetic Nature**: A empathetic and understanding approach is essential for this role, as you will be working with young people who may be experiencing challenging behaviors and emotions.
