About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our team in providing specialist services to deaf children and their families. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with interpreters, specialists, and other professionals to deliver high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out assessments and use evidence-based practice and interventions when working with children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties.
  • Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the child, family, and other professionals.
  • Provide mental health support and interventions to deaf children and their families in a bilingual team environment.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, including interpreters, to ensure effective communication and seamless care delivery.

Requirements

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse or Registered Nurse in Learning Disabilities Paediatrics or Adult, BSc/degree/SW Dip/AMHP or other professional registered qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in mental health services.
  • Excellent clinical skills and ability to work effectively in a bilingual team environment.
  • Ability to travel across the North West of England and occasionally across the North of England.
