About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated OBD Calibration Engineer to join our automotive engineering team at the Institute of the Motor Industry. Limited. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our vehicles meet regulatory requirements and deliver exceptional performance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and calibrate OBD strategies for engine management systems, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  2. Analyze and interpret data from vehicle testing and diagnostic tools to identify issues and potential solutions, driving continuous improvement in our products.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes and improvements to the OBD system, leveraging your expertise to drive business growth.
  4. Conduct emissions testing and validation of OBD systems, ensuring our vehicles meet the highest standards of environmental responsibility.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and standards related to OBD calibration, applying your knowledge to drive innovation and excellence in our products.
  6. Provide technical support to manufacturing, service, and field engineering teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across the organization.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field, with a strong foundation in engine management systems and OBD.
  2. Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive calibration or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  3. Strong knowledge of engine management systems and on-board diagnostics (OBD), with experience in calibration tools such as ETAS INCA, ATI Vision, or similar software.
  4. Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools such as CANape or CANalyzer, with a strong understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN).
  5. Familiarity with emissions regulations (EPA, CARB) and certification processes, with a strong commitment to environmental responsibility.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
