Position Overview: As an OBD/OBM Calibration Engineer within the xHEV ICE Calibration Department, you will be instrumental in ensuring our engines achieve top-tier performance while adhering to stringent diagnostic standards. This role is ideal for those who are enthusiastic about automotive technology and are eager to tackle the challenges posed by global emissions regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct calibration and validation of OBD II and OBM engine software to fulfill legal, service, and departmental specifications for current and upcoming engine models.
  • Oversee components of OBD II calibration and On-Board Monitoring, emphasizing gasoline exhaust aftertreatment to guarantee thorough validation and reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with a wide array of OBD II standards and objectives across international markets, including North America, Europe, China, and Brazil, through optimized calibration techniques.
  • Deliver OBD II and OBM calibration and validation tasks punctually, collaborating with Calibration Leads and Product Owners to ensure calibration readiness aligns with project timelines.
  • Utilize and enhance calibration methodologies, tools, and modeling techniques to streamline calibration processes and expedite time-to-market.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth understanding of OBD II and OBM calibration and control systems, particularly in the context of gasoline exhaust aftertreatment.
  • Proven track record in delivering calibration and validation for electronic control systems.
  • Familiarity with PCM supplier mechanisms and proficiency in using engineering tools such as ETAS INCA/MDA and AVL CRETA.
  • Experience in vehicle-based calibration delivery, including environmental testing in both real-world and simulated environments.
  • Current knowledge of OBD legislation requirements across various markets and familiarity with OBD Demonstration testing for certification purposes.
