Position Overview: As an OBD/OBM Calibration Engineer within the xHEV ICE Calibration Department, you will be instrumental in ensuring our engines adhere to the highest standards of performance and diagnostics. Your expertise will contribute to our mission of meeting stringent global emissions regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct calibration and validation of OBD II and OBM engine software to fulfill legal and departmental standards for current and future engine models.
  • Deliver components of OBD II calibration and On-Board Monitoring, focusing on gasoline exhaust aftertreatment to ensure thorough validation and reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with OBD II standards across various global markets, including North America, Europe, China, and Brazil, through optimized calibration techniques.
  • Meet deadlines for OBD II and OBM calibration and validation tasks, collaborating with Calibration Leads and Product Owners to maintain calibration quality.
  • Utilize and enhance calibration methodologies, tools, and modeling to improve efficiency and reduce time to market.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of OBD II and OBM calibration processes, particularly in relation to gasoline exhaust aftertreatment.
  • Proven track record in delivering calibration and validation for electronic control systems.
  • Familiarity with PCM supplier mechanisms and experience with engineering tools such as ETAS INCA/MDA and AVL CRETA.
  • Experience in vehicle-based calibration, including environmental testing in real-world and simulated settings.
  • Current understanding of OBD legislation requirements across all markets and experience with OBD Demonstration testing for certification.
