About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team as a Despatch Shunter Operator. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for carrying out trained yard vehicle shunting tasks via verbal instructions from Despatch shift manager, operations staff and Team leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supply a current list of fridge trailer units at the start of each shift to the operations Management and staff.
  • Set all fridge units to a set temperature.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of staff members employed within the company and visiting haulage drivers in a pleasant and Courteous manner at all times.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Will be enthusiastic, keen to learn, be a good team player, have an ability to pay attention to detail, and have a strong sense of good customer service.
  • Will be able to attain Company production targets to satisfy customer demands, very often to tight schedules.
