About the Role
We're seeking a skilled Team Leader to join our Cafe team, where a dynamic and fast-paced environment awaits. With a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, a proactive approach, and excellent collaboration skills, you'll play a key role in maintaining operational and safety standards.
As a Team Leader, you'll have the opportunity to develop and grow with our team, taking on a wide range of responsibilities. From supporting the Cafe Manager to meeting business and financial goals, to coaching and developing team members, to leading by example with impeccable customer service.

Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
  1. Maintaining operational and safety standards.
  2. Ensuring all food safety and hygiene regulations are met and followed.
  3. Leading by example and providing an excellent customer experience.
  4. Opening and closing the cafe and overseeing full operations in the Manager's absence.
  5. Recognising and celebrating team members for providing excellent service.
  6. Learning our menu inside out and helping the team to do the same.
  7. Boosting sales by ensuring everyone is in the right place at the right time.
  8. Delivering Health & Safety and Food Safety training for team members.
  9. Supporting the Cafe Manager with colleague coaching and development.
  10. Seeking ways to constantly improve our service for customers.
  11. Promoting an inclusive environment where colleagues feel respected, valued, and safe.


What You'll Need
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
  1. A background in hospitality, with Team/Shift Leader experience.
  2. A passion for providing excellent customer service.
  3. Health & Safety and Food Safety knowledge.
  4. Effective communication skills.
  5. Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  6. Confidence using your initiative to improve ways of working.
