Job Summary

The Development Coordinator is a key role within the Worthing Theatres and Museum team, responsible for driving fundraising efforts to support the organisation's ambitious goals.

Main Responsibilities

  • Fundraising and Relationship Management
    • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including trusts, foundations, and local businesses, to secure funding for Worthing Theatres and Museum projects.
    • Research and identify new funding opportunities, and develop and submit grant applications to support the organisation's strategic objectives.
  • Development Operations and Support
    • Lead on supporter recognition and crediting, ensuring that all donors are acknowledged in relevant digital and print materials.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for the Development team's use of the Spektrix database, ensuring best practice and data integrity.
    • Work closely with the Finance team to monitor Development income and provide regular reports to the Head of Development and Development Manager.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in fundraising, with a track record of securing funding from trusts, foundations, and local businesses.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
