Pediatric Physiotherapy Clinical Specialist

We are seeking an exceptional Pediatric Physiotherapy Clinical Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team at King's College Hospital. As a key member of the Paediatric Acute Physiotherapy service, you will be responsible for providing leadership and clinical expertise in the management of acute respiratory paediatrics, including babies and children on PICU.
Job OverviewIn this exciting opportunity, you will have the chance to shape the future of our paediatric physiotherapy services, developing them to meet the evolving needs of our patients. With your advanced theoretical knowledge and highly specialist skills, you will provide supervision and clinical support to the inpatient acute paediatric physiotherapy team and students, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care.
You will be part of a dynamic and specialist multi-disciplinary paediatric team working out of the Children's Hospital at King's in Denmark Hill. Our hospital is one of London's Major Trauma Centres, and this is reflected in the acute paediatric caseload.
This role requires someone with significant postgraduate experience in paediatrics, including acute respiratory conditions, PICU, post-surgical care, neurology, NIV, Major Trauma, musculoskeletal, and orthopaedics. You will have highly specialist knowledge and experience of managing complex paediatric conditions in both acute and chronic presentations.
The successful candidate will be HCPC registered, hold a degree or other recognised qualification in Physiotherapy, and have postgraduate training and experience in the clinical specialities of paediatrics and/or infants. They must also be members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and have MSc in a clinically relevant or related area.
Main Responsibilities- Providing leadership and clinical expertise in the management of acute respiratory paediatrics
- Developing and delivering paediatric physiotherapy services according to NICE guidance and other relevant standards
- Supervising and supporting the inpatient acute paediatric physiotherapy team and students
- Maintaining high-quality, effective, and efficient services for patients presenting with various conditions

What We OfferAs a Pediatric Physiotherapy Clinical Specialist, you can expect a competitive salary of £61,927 - £68,676 pro rata, depending on your experience. This is a permanent, part-time position, with 30 hours per week available. You will have opportunities for professional development, research participation, and leadership training.
