Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Affairs Lead to join our Communications and External Affairs team at Gatwick Airport. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a public affairs strategy that supports our business goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive public affairs strategy that aligns with our business objectives and goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, parliamentarians, and industry leaders.
  • Advise senior internal stakeholders on political engagement and policy change.
  • Represent Gatwick Airport at meetings and events, delivering presentations and engaging with stakeholders.
  • Monitor and analyze political developments and their impact on our business.
  • Develop and implement targeted campaigns to influence policy and legislative outcomes.

Requirements

  • Degree in politics or a related discipline (Masters level desirable).
  • Experience in a corporate environment or consultancy, with a strong understanding of political context.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write professional letters, emails, and reports.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and reports.
  • Experience in representing a business externally, with confidence in delivering presentations and networking.
