Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to take on a leadership role in our school. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal part in supporting teaching and learning across the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • **Curriculum Delivery:** Lead and deliver lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher, ensuring the continued progress and engagement of students.
  • **Support and Differentiation:** Provide targeted support to individuals and groups of students, adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
  • **Collaboration:** Work closely with teachers and school leaders to contribute to the planning and development of curriculum activities.
  • **Assessment and Reporting:** Assist in the assessment of student progress, providing valuable insights and feedback to contribute to ongoing improvement.
  • **Behavioural Support:** Implement positive behaviour management strategies, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • **Professional Development:** Engage in continuous professional development, staying informed about best practices and educational innovations.

Requirements:

  • **Qualifications and Skills:** Qualified as HLTA or equivalent experience, proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, strong communication and interpersonal skills, initiative, adaptability, and a genuine passion for contributing to the educational success of students.
  • **Relevant Qualifications or Training:** Relevant qualifications or training in education or a related field.
