About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a SEN school in Southend-on-Sea. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEN, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist with classroom activities and help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs), collaborating with teachers and therapists to support student development.
  • Foster a positive and motivating atmosphere, encouraging students to reach their full potential.
  • Work closely with the teaching staff to develop and implement strategies to support students with SEN.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with SEN children is desirable, but not essential.
  • Hold a valid DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
  • Have the passion and drive to work with children and use your own initiative to get involved.
