**Job Summary**

The City of New York is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fieldwork Intern to support the Bureau of Public Health Clinics. As a Fieldwork Intern, you will assist the team with conducting outreach to providers and community groups, and provide feedback on how to improve sexual health and wellness and reduce racial inequities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate strategies to enhance existing CUNY student outreach methods.
  • Maintain an up-to-date calendar with all planned outreach activities.
  • Log activities in city database Public Health Partners Connect (PHPC) within 2 business days.
  • Conduct periodic quality assurance checks on PHPC data.
  • Follow up on student-focused listservs the clinics belong to, ensuring services, locations, and hours are posted and accurately depicted.
  • Attend pre-identified community and coalition meetings.
  • Assess student engagement work to strategize outreach with a racial equity lens.
  • Create a transition document at the end of the internship detailing all aspects of the project, including outstanding assignments, main points of contact, and potential next steps.
  • Provide an overall summary of work with the Community Engagement Unit.
  • Transition partnerships and develop communication around transition to inform partners about new points of contact after the internship ends.

Requirements:

  • Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school.
  • Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in a college or graduate school.
