Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Risk Communication and Community Engagement team. The successful candidate will have expertise in developing and applying innovative approaches to risk communication and community engagement, with a strong track record of designing and conducting rapid qualitative assessments, social science research, and analysis.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of public health, leveraging your skills in project management, training delivery, and capacity development to strengthen RCCE and social science capabilities in low- and middle-income countries.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Leveraging your expertise in RCCE and social science to develop and implement effective strategies and plans in LMICs;
  • Providing high-quality training and capacity development programs for response staff and volunteers;
  • Collaborating with international partners to identify novel areas of research and presenting findings at scientific conferences;
  • Maintaining active participation with academic partners and networks.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A PhD or MSc in Social and Behavioural Science, Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, Education, Communication, Public Relations, or another relevant field;
  • Proven experience in operational social science, including designing and conducting rapid qualitative assessments and social science research;
  • Experience in developing and implementing RCCE strategies and plans in LMICs;
  • Strong project management and training delivery skills;
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
