As a Senior Public Health Specialist at Whittington Health NHS Trust, you will be responsible for delivering the universal and targeted Healthy Child Programme to local families. You will support the development of the service and work with colleagues to ensure the delivery of a safe and effective HCP.

  • To identify need within a family or community using child and family centred public health approaches to address health inequalities.
  • To deliver needs led evidence-based care that supports local and national priorities and policies.
  • To be the principal point of contact for allocated GP Practices and Children's Centres in an area.

You will also work with local statutory, private and voluntary providers, and users to develop and promote practice that is accessible and responsive to all sections of the local community. This role requires a strong understanding of the Healthy Child Programme, as well as knowledge of safeguarding processes and clinical governance arrangements.

Key Requirements
  • A Health Visiting professional qualification with entry onto the 3rd part of the NMC Register.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
  • Ability to delegate work appropriately and safely.
Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is £42,046 - £62,405 per annum, depending on experience.
