Job Title: Apprenticeship Contract Manager

United Living Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Apprenticeship Contract Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing a team of Gas Engineers and Apprentices, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and cost-effective gas installation, servicing, and maintenance services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Gas Manager in technical issues, health and safety requirements, and company procedures
  • Supervise the team of Gas Engineers and Apprentices, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects
  • Carry out service, repair, commissioning, and maintenance work to heating and gas systems as required
  • Manage day-to-day operations, including scheduling, workload management, and emergency response
  • Provide technical support and knowledge to engineers, the admin team, and clients as needed
  • Self-manage and arrange workloads/schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks and emergency response
  • Conduct routine inspections and quality control checks on U/L engineers and sub-contractors
  • Collaborate with the admin team and Gas Manager to provide a first-class service to clients
  • Work with the Gas Manager to ensure all training needs and staff development are met through appraisals and quality control checks
  • Cover for the Gas Manager, attending contract meetings, health and safety meetings, etc. as necessary
  • Stay up-to-date with current gas regulations, manufacturer updates, and Gas Safe technical bulletins, delivering information via toolbox talks, presentations, and on-the-job training/development
  • Liaise with clients and residents to help the Gas Manager deal with complaints, correspondence, and client inquiries to achieve a swift and positive outcome
  • Promote continuous review and improvement of services by creating an environment where staff are encouraged to use their initiative and creativity for the benefit of clients and residents
  • Arrange monthly meetings with apprentice mentors and apprentices to record issues and progress through their apprenticeship, with details recorded and shared with the Gas Manager for discussion
Requirements:

Full Domestic ACS qualifications, including G, Oil, and Commercial qualifications are an advantage

Microsoft Excel, Project, and Word skills are required

Working Hours:

7.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday

1-hour lunch break

Full uniform and safety equipment supplied
