About Us

We provide specialist adult care services at Priory Adult Care. Our residential care settings and supported living services cater to individuals with autism, dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS), and challenging behaviors.

Job Title: Catering AssistantJob Summary

A highly organized and communicative Catering Assistant is needed to join our team. This individual will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals to our residents. We require someone experienced in food service management with knowledge of healthy eating principles.

The ideal candidate must have a strong background in a similar role, ideally with a certificate in Basic Food Hygiene. As part of our team, you will work closely with colleagues to plan menus that meet the diverse needs of our residents.

Responsibilities
  1. Plan and prepare healthy, balanced meals.
  2. Support residents in acquiring essential life skills through hands-on participation in meal preparation.
  3. Liaise with the care team to ensure tailored meal options are provided based on resident preferences and needs.
  4. Conduct grocery shopping with the assistance of residents who wish to participate.
  5. BUILD RELATIONSHIPS WITH RESIDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES TO MEET THEIR NEEDS.
  6. Partner with Activity Coordinators to integrate seasonal menu updates.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Certificate in Basic Food Hygiene (preferred)
  • Significant experience in a related field
  • Superb organizational and communication skills

HOURLY RATE: £12.00 per hour
