About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH COUNSELLING MANAGER to join our team at West Midlands Police.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and implementation of strategies to promote employee wellbeing and resilience across the Force, supporting the Head of Occupational Health in managing counselling provision.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure safe and effective management of the counselling provision, providing expert advice on clinical standards and practice.
  • Support the development and implementation of strategies to promote employee wellbeing and resilience across the Force, including coordination of psychological screening processes.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • A professional qualification in Counselling or Psychotherapy, with a strong background in working with clients presenting with Trauma symptoms.
  • Accredited membership of the BACP/UKCP and experience of CBT/EMDR or Trauma Focused - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
  • Management experience within Occupational Health practice, including coordination of psychological screening processes.
