The main responsibility of the Senior Residential Children\u0027s Support Worker is to contribute to creating a positive and nurturing environment in the home, ensuring the emotional security, happiness, and personal growth of the young people.
The key duties of the role include:
\u2022 Providing transportation for young people to various destinations, such as school, shopping trips, and activities.
\u2022 Being available for sleep-in shifts as needed, which may involve being on-site during nighttime hours to respond to emergencies or provide support.
\u2022 Taking on tasks or responsibilities that may not be part of the usual job description but are considered reasonable by the Registered Manager or their appointed deputy.
The ideal candidate will have:
\u2022 Recent experience working in a residential Ofsted environment.
\u2022 A minimum of 2 years' experience working in a EBD residential children's home for 8-18 year olds.
\u2022 A Level 3 Diploma for Children, Young People and Families Practitioner (or equivalent qualification).
\u2022 A full UK driving licence.
