About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Custody Nurse to join our team at HCRG Care Group. As a Custody Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality healthcare to individuals detained by the police or other agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake comprehensive clinical assessments and provide care to individuals detained by the police or other agencies.
  • Provide healthcare interventions to manage minor illness or injury and take appropriate actions and refer onwards for more serious conditions.
  • Undertake forensic examination of individuals in police care, including recording and giving opinion on injuries and collecting DNA evidence.
  • Support the clinical governance agenda of the organisation.
  • Administer medications through PGDs (patient group directions) and PTPs (Patient treatment protocol).
