Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Operations Manager to join our team at Mettler Toledo UK. As a key member of our service delivery team, you will be responsible for overseeing the supervision of field service technicians delivering repair, installation, and calibration services to our customers within a designated territory.

Key Responsibilities
  1. First-Line Supervision: Provide guidance and oversight to field service technicians, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to deliver high-quality services to our customers.
  2. Policy Enforcement: Communicate and enforce company policies related to field service personnel, ensuring compliance and adherence to our standards.
  3. Workforce Management: Review and approve technicians' work hours, overtime, vacation, and expenses, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing costs.
  4. Revenue Growth: Collaborate with our sales organization to drive revenue growth and identify opportunities for expansion within the territory.
  5. Training and Development: Develop personalized training plans for each technician, focusing on technical and soft skills development to enhance their performance and productivity.
  6. Customer Feedback: Respond to customer feedback regarding service quality and timeliness, ensuring prompt resolution of issues and continuous improvement.
  7. Financial Acumen: Understand the profit and loss of the territory, budget planning, and resource allocation, making informed decisions to optimize performance.
  8. Key Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and preferences to deliver tailored services.
  9. Operational Efficiency: Partner with our back-office teams to drive customer satisfaction and operational efficiency, ensuring seamless service delivery.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: An associate's degree in business, operations management, or a technical discipline is preferred. Four to seven years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Industry Experience: Industry experience or experience in related industrial industries is highly desirable.
