About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Computing Systems Administrator to join our IT team at First Point Group.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our computing and networking infrastructure to ensure smooth operation and high levels of availability.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Managing operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes to ensure system stability.
  • Configuring and installing new hardware and software to support business growth.
  • Monitoring system logs to identify potential issues and resolving them promptly.
  • Integrating new technologies into our existing data centre environments to enhance efficiency.
  • Performing routine audits of systems and software to ensure compliance and security.
  • Performing backups and restores as required to maintain data integrity.
  • Providing technical support and assistance to users.
  • Ensuring the security of our computing and networking infrastructure.
  • Documenting the configuration of our computing and networking infrastructure for future reference.
  • Troubleshooting any reported problems quickly and effectively.
  • System and network performance tuning to optimize efficiency.
  • Ensuring that our infrastructure is up and running smoothly at all times.
  • Planning for and responding to service outages to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborating with our 3rd party suppliers to aid in problem determination.

  • Server administration Windows (GPO, AD)
  • Hyper-V Virtualization technologies
  • Software and patch management systems WSUS and SCCM
  • Windows Active Directory Management
  • Microsoft Exchange Server
  • LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP, DNS/DHCP
  • Design documentation including procedure documents
  • Azure technologies & Office 365 administration

Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 per annum, based on experience.
