Director of Computational Systems

Description

This role involves leading the development and management of high-performance computing resources that drive pioneering science. The Director of Computational Systems will report directly to the CIO and oversee the strategic development and management of computational systems, including data storage, compute cores, and GPU clusters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to align resources with the needs of a vibrant research community.
  • Collaborate with external partners to leverage emerging technologies and enhance computing capabilities.
Requirements

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Extensive experience managing large-scale HPC platforms within research or academic settings.
  • Strong leadership skills and expertise in technologies such as CryoSPARC, AlphaFold, AWS, and Kubernetes.
  • A solid understanding of data lifecycle management and scientific research processes.
  • Excellent collaborative abilities.
Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
