ESOL Tutor for Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ESOL tutor to work with unaccompanied asylum-seeking children. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the challenges faced by UASC and be able to adapt their teaching methods to meet the individual needs of each student.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and deliver engaging ESOL lessons to UASC students
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support as needed
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for UASC students
- Collaborate with other educators and professionals to ensure the holistic development of UASC students
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievements, and any concerns
- Recognised qualification in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) or equivalent
- Experience working with UASC or vulnerable young people
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and best practices in supporting UASC
- Postgraduate qualification in TESL or related field
- Experience in delivering trauma-informed teaching practices
This role involves working with vulnerable young people in an educational setting. The successful candidate will undergo relevant background checks and training to ensure the safety and well-being of UASC students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
