Job Title: UASC ESOL Tutor

Job Summary:

Teaching Personnel is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated ESOL Tutor to work with Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC). The successful candidate will deliver engaging English language lessons, assess student progress, and maintain accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and deliver high-quality ESOL lessons tailored to meet individual student needs
  2. Monitor student progress, providing feedback and support as required
  3. Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for UASC students
  4. Collaborate with educators and professionals to ensure holistic development of UASC students
  5. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievements, and concerns
Requirements:
  1. Recognised qualification in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) or equivalent
  2. Experience working with UASC or vulnerable young people
  3. Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and best practices in supporting UASC
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Postgraduate qualification in TESL or related field
  2. Experience in delivering trauma-informed teaching practices
Working Conditions:

This role involves working with vulnerable young people in an educational setting. The successful candidate will undergo relevant background checks and training to ensure the safety and well-being of UASC students.
