Teaching Personnel is seeking a qualified ESOL Tutor to join our team and work with Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) in the East of England, Suffolk, Barking area.
Job Type:This is a temporary position, with the option to become permanent in the future.
Primary Industry:Education and Training
Salary:£20 - £30 Per hour
Job Duties:- Deliver engaging ESOL lessons to UASC students in a supportive and inclusive environment
- Assess students' language proficiency levels and provide tailored support and feedback
- Develop and implement lesson plans and teaching materials to meet the diverse needs of UASC learners
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a conducive learning environment
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievements
- CELTA or equivalent ESOL teaching qualification
- Experience working with UASC or vulnerable young people
- Strong understanding of ESOL teaching methodologies and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Bachelor's degree in Education, Linguistics, or related field
Experience:Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching ESOL to diverse student populations
Knowledge and Skills:- Knowledge of UK educational policies and safeguarding procedures
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of UASC learners
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- PGCE in ESOL or related field
- Experience working in a multicultural educational setting

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
