Media Relations Specialist

Adecco is seeking a Media Relations Specialist to join Thames Valley Police on a temporary basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing information to the communities served by Thames Valley Police via the media, the TVP website, and social/digital channels.
  • Responding to daily and out of hours enquiries from local, national, and specialist media.
  • Organising broadcast media interviews and managing the media at operational incidents.
  • Monitoring traditional and social media interest and coverage of national policing issues relating to TVP.
  • Maximising opportunities and originating ideas for proactive media relations.

The ideal candidate will have a good standard of education, a nationally recognised communications qualification, and recent experience of working with national, local, and specialist media for a high profile organisation.

They will also have excellent IT skills, a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn new IT systems.

A full UK driving licence is considered essential for this role.
