Role Overview

Adecco is seeking a skilled Media Officer to support Thames Valley Police in promoting understanding of and support for the work of the Force.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to media enquiries and write press releases to promote the work of the Force.
  • Act as an official spokesperson for the Force and respond to public enquiries via social and digital channels.
  • Organise broadcast media interviews and manage media at operational incidents.
  • Support communications officers in planning and attending open events.
  • Monitor media interest and coverage of national policing issues.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Working Arrangements:

This is a temporary position working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm at the Kidlington HQ.

Rate of Pay:

The hourly rate for this position is £20.07.
