About the Role

We are seeking an experienced teaching assistant to support students with special educational needs (SEN) at our school in North London.

As a teaching assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students progress in their learning and achieve their full potential.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with complex needs, including those with medical requirements, physical disabilities, speech and language difficulties, and emotional or behavioral challenges.

You will work closely with the teaching staff to deliver high-quality support and provide individualized attention to each student.

This is a full-time, long-term position offering a competitive rate of pay, ranging from £80-100 per day.

Responsibilities

  • Providing academic support to students with SEN, either one-to-one or in small groups
  • Assisting teachers with lesson planning and delivery
  • Maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement strategies to meet the diverse needs of students

Requirements

  • A clear DBS check and the right to work in the UK
  • Experience working as a teaching assistant in a SEN setting
  • An understanding of child development and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs
  • Familiarity with SEN policies and procedures
