Hourly rate - £11.58 per hour
Hours per week – 16 hours per week - 2x 8 hour shifts - Weekend availability
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Activity Coordinator to join our team at Runwood Homes. As an Activity Coordinator, you will play a vital role in planning and delivering meaningful, person-centred activity and occupation to all our residents. Your main responsibility will be to guide, develop and coach our staff in engagement and activity with residents, ensuring every day is filled with magic moments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading on, and delivering, high quality meaningful activity for all residents
- Ensuring people living with dementia enjoy the same opportunities for engagement and activity as other residents
- Stimulating excellent interaction and communication between staff and residents
- Promoting and developing mealtimes as highlight of the day
- Creating and maintaining excellent community links
To ensure you have the confidence and skills to deliver high quality activity and engagement to residents, you will receive individual support, guidance and investment in your development.
We are looking for someone with a positive forward-thinking approach, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to enthuse and guide others. Care home experience is an advantage, as is any previous experience of providing activity or leading others. You will also need to be assertive, yet flexible.
