Hourly rate - £11.58 per hour
Hours per week – 16 hours per week - 2x 8 hour shifts - Weekend availability
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Activity Coordinator to join our team at Runwood Homes. As an Activity Coordinator, you will play a vital role in planning and delivering meaningful, person-centred activity and occupation to all our residents. Your main responsibility will be to ensure that every day is filled with magic moments, enhancing residents' dignity and self-esteem through meaningful engagement, positive relationships, and free expression of individuality.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading on, and delivering, high quality meaningful activity for all residents
- Ensuring people living with dementia enjoy the same opportunities for engagement and activity as other residents
- Stimulating excellent interaction and communication between staff and residents
- Promoting and developing mealtimes as highlight of the day
- Creating and maintaining excellent community links
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a positive forward-thinking approach, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to enthuse and guide others. Previous experience in care homes and providing activity or leading others is an advantage. You will also need to be assertive, yet flexible.
