Job Title: Hospitality Floor Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hospitality Floor Manager to join our team at Searcys. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our clients and ensuring the smooth operation of our events, dining rooms, and other areas within the Hospitality department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize, and deliver successful operations of events, dining rooms, and other areas within the Hospitality department.
  • Liaise with key personnel, including marketing, events, and sales departments, to deliver service that meets and exceeds client expectations.
  • Brief the Hospitality team on all aspects of the business and oversee the running of all events, working lunches, and dining.
  • Meet clients on arrival, ensuring that the event is as they require, and pass on any on-the-day changes to the relevant people.
  • Assist in the development of the Hospitality waiting team, ensuring they adhere to standards laid down by Hospitality Managers and provide training as required.
  • Ensure all legislative and Government guidelines are adhered to, including the Food Safety Act, Health and Safety at Work Act, and COSHH regulations, within the areas of responsibility.
  • Manage catering administration, including banking and financial reporting to line managers.
  • Train or provide training to staff to ensure they operate in accordance with department standards, including casual labor.
  • Monitor daily standards achieved in the department and report to line managers any areas of concern.
  • Liaise with key people in all necessary areas (kitchen, events, reception, etc.) to ensure the provision of food and service is consistent and in line with menu/standards pre-agreed.
  • Ensure ongoing training is carried out to the benefit of all staff and that all training is recorded on each member's personal file.
  • Monitor that all staff present themselves correctly dressed for duty and are well-groomed while on duty.
  • Deal effectively and courteously with customer complaints and refer all complaints to the line manager.
  • Carry out regular checks of events areas for maintenance, housekeeping, and other health and safety issues, reporting to the Business Service helpdesk and events manager.
  • Ensure in-house accounting policies are adhered to and monitor food and beverage control, including performing stock take.
  • Ensure the department/team is in compliance with Searcys cash handling and cashing-up procedures and report any discrepancies to the line manager.
  • Monitor staff time sheets are filled correctly and processed for payment.
  • Ensure all Searcys personnel procedures, including disciplinary, grievance, appraisal, and recruitment, are followed at all times.
  • Deputize for the Hospitality Manager in their absence.
  • Ensure in-house accounting policies are adhered to and checked, including cash handling, billing, and stock control.
  • Comply with all legal requirements, particularly with reference to fire regulations, security, license requirements, and any Local Authority or Client stipulations.
  • Ensure all Health, Hygiene, and Safety requirements are being adhered to as described in the Searcy Health & Safety Policy.
  • Support and assist in all C&B operations as and when required under the direction of the C&B Manager.
  • Perform any other reasonable request by management.
  • Demonstrate personal development.
