About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our Education team at Aspris Children's Services. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational needs of our young people with autistic spectrum conditions (ASC) and associated complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering educational activities and supporting the learning needs of our young people.
  • Provide individualized support to students with varying degrees of emotional behavioral difficulties, autism, ADHD, and associated difficulties.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans.
  • Collaborate with the education team to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to supporting our young people's educational and personal needs.

Requirements

  • Resilience and ability to work with vulnerable children who may present challenging behaviors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • A caring and compassionate approach to supporting the educational and personal needs of our young people.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve shared goals and objectives.
