About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our Education team at Clay Hill School. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and young people with their educational activities, while also contributing to the overall well-being and care of our students.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering educational activities to meet the needs of our students.
- Support the class teacher in maintaining a calm, purposeful, and caring environment, which promotes the social, emotional, and academic development of our students.
- Work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to identify and address the individual needs of our students.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans.
- Provide one-to-one support to students with complex needs, as required.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of the school's policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications and experience in education or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the overall well-being and care of our students.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to respond to changing circumstances and priorities.
- Commitment to the values and principles of Aspris Children's Services, including a focus on safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
